Design Story

The wrap is built on restraint. A pale ivory ground carries fine silver scrollwork that curls outward from the centre, and into that stillness the script word Ohio arrives in deep scarlet with a soft dimensional edge. Above it, thin rules frame small capitals; below, the block emblem sits as a second, heavier anchor. A scarlet ribbon sweeps diagonally across the lower third, breaking the vertical symmetry just enough to keep the eye moving downward toward a small helmet motif. Negative space does the real work here: the ornament never crowds the type, and the two-colour discipline of cream, scarlet and silver keeps the hierarchy legible from across a room.

Use & Experience

On a tall tumbler silhouette the layout reads exactly as intended. The script occupies the front-facing focal panel at eye height, the emblem repeats the message lower down, and the scrollwork curves away around the sides so the wraparound composition resolves rather than collides. Vertical proportion suits the stacked typography, and the graphic scale gives it genuine carry presence without shouting.
