Design Story

The upper field holds a moonlit castle silhouette under clouded sky, rendered in cool slate and ink. Below it, a crimson shield with a rampant lion sits at the optical center, flanked by seated gargoyles and framed in curling antique-gold scrollwork. Corner cartouches carry ravens; side panels repeat helms, crossed swords and fleur-de-lis, and a deep burgundy border closes the perimeter with a rhythmic fleur-de-lis repeat. The palette is disciplined — charcoal, oxblood, faded gold — so the crest reads first, the architecture second, the ornament last. Clean hierarchy, no visual noise.

Room & Styling

As a rug, the centered medallion structure gives the room an anchor point, while the wide border defines the edge relationship against pale flooring.
